Gallery hotel Auberge de Temple is nestled in the undulating landscape of Johannesberg, a quaint village half an hour south-east of Frankfurt am Main. Owners Günther de Temple and Christine Wondrak meticulously restored and refurbished the inn which dates back to 1854. The couple implemented the many impressions they experienced during their extensive travels in Auberge de Temple. Günther and Christine created a stylish and artful oasis of tranquillity. Ludger and Nicole Helbig are the ideal hosts to extend a warm and gastronomic welcome to you.
Charming Nicole receives her guests with cordial hospitality and Ludger is a charismatic and well-loved chef. Helbig’s Gasthaus connects the Star Restaurant and former Gasthaus. Patrons can enjoy the different menus and dishes. Each stylish and spacious guestroom is named after a famous artist. The Auberge also features an Art Gallery and up-to-date Cookery School.
There are two restaurants: Restaurant Helbigs and the Gasthaus. Chef Ludger Helbig attends to both. He is renowned for his well-balanced cuisine and high level of presentation. He is a creative chef always using the best of local suppliers. Restaurant Helbig is the gourmet restaurant; the Gasthaus offers a more informal ambiance with traditional, regional and seasonal dishes, such as an excellent Wiener Schnitzel or braised lamb with a modern twist. Both restaurants have a smart, contemporary feel with superb art adorning the walls.
The restaurants offer the ultimate concept of sharing. Dining in Restaurant Helbigs, you are welcome to enjoy the Gasthaus’ cuisine and vice versa to experience the best of both worlds. Why not be adventurous and combine dishes from either restaurant.
