Kronenschlösschen is set in a private park in the picturesque town of Eltville-Hattenheim, not far from Wiesbaden, between the Rhine and the vineyards.
The rooms and suites are tastefully and comfortably decorated. The Turmsuite in particular has an extraordinary history: it was here that in 1947, Konrad Adenauer, Theodor Heuss and Carlo Schmidt spent weeks writing the German constitution.
Chef Simon Stirnal put the emphasis on quality, both in the Bistro, which serves traditional German dishes, and in the Gourmet restaurant. Kronenschlösschen not only offers a refined style of cuisine, but also has an award-winning wine list to match – with more than 2,000 wines, it was named Germany’s best by Gault&Millau.
The Rheingau region boasts one of the most beautiful landscapes in Germany. In the immediate area there are plenty of sights to see and historic buildings to visit. You can walk a section of the 320km Rheinsteig trail, visit a winery or take a boat trip along the magnificent Rhine.
The wine list contains more than 2000 wines from Eltville and has been awarded as "best wine list of Germany" (Gault&Millau) and as "best Riesling wine map of Germany" (Der Metternich). Unusual detail is that each spring, many 3-star chefs from around the world come together for the Rheingau in Eltville & Wein Gourmet festival.
The hotel’s Bistro serves classic German cuisine with a refined touch. The Café offers gateaux and other homemade cakes from the hotel’s own patisserie.
Open: Monday-Sunday from 7pm-9pm. Open for Sunday Lunch from 12noon-2pm.

Hotel Kronenschlösschen is located on the banks of the river Rhine in the Rheingau region, which is considered one of the most beautiful regions of Germany. Vineyards, castles and citadels add to the atmosphere. Nearby, you will find cultural landmarks, such as the Schloss Johannisberg, Eberbach Abbey and Manor House Vollrads. The town of Eltville and nearby Wiesbaden are also well worth a visit. The region is a paradise for hikers with many walking trails, such as the ‘Rheinsteig’ (Rhine Trail), a 200 mile long hiking trail. Many vineyards and wineries are open to the public, for example Robert Weil’s winery. An even more relaxing option is a river cruise on the river Rhine.
