Villa Ruimzicht was built in 1853, and was purchased by a Christian philanthropic organisation in 1868, after which it was used as a seminary. The stately building is surrounded by an arboretum with beautiful old trees. The building has been completely transformed into a contemporary four-star hotel, with fine guestrooms - decorated primarily in shades of white - two restaurants, a bar and a cookery studio.
Restaurant Lokaal serves a JRE menu, while Bites offers shared dining - both use local ingredients. And you can also enjoy a high tea or ‘high wine’, with a focus on fresh produce and good wine.
The Achterhoek region offers a wide variety of cycle paths, walking routes and bridleways, which lead you past the local cultural heritage. Villa Ruimzicht has bikes or Vespas for guests to use.

Hotel Villa Ruimzicht is located on its own grounds in a park with many magnificent trees, such as a 140 year old Sequoia tree.The hotel has verandahs and a large terrace. Weather permitting, breakfast, lunch and dinner are served here.
