GRAND HOTEL MERICI is one of seven restored historical buildings in the medieval Klooster quarter in the heart of Sittard. The building is a former Ursuline convent running a boarding school for girls in the years 1843 to 1946. The back of the GRAND HOTEL MERICI building is surrounded by the Domican Wall, adjacent to ancient shooting ranges and moats.
The front of the hotel seamlessly flows into the Basilica and the Old Market. At GRAND HOTEL MERICI past and present merge perfectly. The restaurant is opened Monday through Saturday between 17.00h - 21.00h, and Sundays between 14.00h - 21.00h. Lunch must be reserved Monday through Friday.
