Berghaus Alpenrösli is a charming chalet hotel beautifully located slightly above the stylish and idyllic village of Klosters at an altitude of 1,450 metres. You will find it on a little dead-end lane, framed by majestic pine trees. Alpenrösli has a spacious sun terrace, the perfect venue for an excellent lunch or dinner.
The welcoming atmosphere in the restaurant is enhanced by interior wood panelling, indigenous for this region. The cuisine is regionally as well as internationally inspired, of high quality and offers generous portions.
The guest rooms are well appointed and have stunning views over the surrounding mountains. Chef Jos Keurentjes is renowned far and wide, even as far as London, Berlin, The Hague and New York.
The restaurant is divided into two sections. The larger part is traditionally decorated with wood panelling and local art. The Stübli (former milking stable) is available for private dining and offers seating for 22 persons. Chef Jos Keurentjes, originally from The Netherlands, only cook with the best local and seasonal produce. Indeed, the Swiss are famous for their excellent produce to ensure freshness and quality of flavour. The cuisine offers traditional dishes, f.ex. game or cheese fondue, but also international flavours, like the Chef’s delicious curry dishes. Gault Millau awarded Jos and his kitchen staff 13 points. Jos’ partner Fränzi Mohn is not only your hostess, but she also acts as Alpenrösli’s well known ambassador. The wine list has a selection of the best swiss and international wines.
South facing Alpenrösli has a spacious sun terrace with adjacent garden. Weather permitting, lunch and dinner are served on the terrace. The south facing guest room have balconies for you to enjoy the sunshine and the stunning views over the mountains.
In winter season, Klosters’ central location offers you more than 300 km of snow-sure ski runs, known as the ski region of Davos Klosters. Ski runs for all ages can be found on the slopes of Madrisa and Rinerhorn at an altitude of 1,800 metres. They can be reached with the gondola lifts from Klosters. In the summer, the green alp meadows and white mountain tops create a colourful backdrop for your walks and hikes. Mountain bikers are allowed to bring up their bikes in the cable cars, which guarantees excellent access to the many mountain bike trails, enjoying the wonderful views and challenging descents. If you would prefer a day’s shopping, both Klosters and Davos offer a wonderful choice of shops.
