Hamilton Lodge is a comfortable family hotel on the Belalp, a car-free mountain area in a UNESCO World Heritage site at an altitude of 2,100 metres.
A 40-minute walk will take you to the Aletsch Glacier, with a view of the Matterhorn. Hamilton Lodge itself offers spectacular views of Switzerland’s highest mountains, and via various ski pistes you can reach the summit of the Aletschhorn, with views of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau.
After an exhilarating day of activity you can unwind at the spa, gazing at the mountain view from the Finish Sauna, or relaxing in a hot tub filled with water from the glacier.
In winter, you’ll find pistes (up to 3800 metres) and a ski school on your doorstep. And in summer you can hike magnificent walking trails through the landscape of Heidi.
This hip-Heidi hideaway is elegant and tasteful, with charming rooms and comfortable beds, a restaurant serving regional dishes, a lounge with a log fire, a sunny terrace, grazing cows and goats, a mountain stream, and a cheese dairy.
