During the QL Annual Gathering Dinner in Landhuishotel & Restaurant De Bloemenbeek Chefs Joost Verhoeven, Ralf Berendesen and Ludger Helbig received the QL Robbe & Berking Sliver Butter Knife Award.
The QL Robbe & Berking Silver Butter Knives were awarded for the fourth consecutive year to chefs who truly care about seasonal cooking with local produce. The awards were presented by Norbert Mutsaerts, vice president of QL’s advisory board and Erik Pabst of Pabst & Pabst. All guests of the QL Annual Gathering enjoyed a fabulous dinner served by Michel van Riswijk (1 Michelin star).
The award winning Chefs were:
Joost Verhoeven of Hotel de Weverij | Restaurant Cordial, Oss, the Netherlands. He is considered to be one of Holland's brightest gastronomic talents. Verhoeven creates refined dishes and frivolous desserts with subtile subtle and surprising combinations.
Ralf Berendsen of Hostellerie La Butte aux Bois, Lanaken, Belgium. He is a devotee of the classic cuisine. His creations combine complex flavours and are served as a festival of taste and colour.
Ludger Helbig of Auberge de Temple, Johannesberg, Germany. His interpretation of French Haute Cuisine is superb and sophisticated using spices from all over the world.
