The Pankert family’s culinary haven is located in a former coaching inn where once stagecoach horses were stabled or changed, in the centre of historical St. Vith, where Belgium borders both Germany and Luxemburg.
These crossroads have long been a place where weary travellers found a meal and a bed. Nowadays they will find haute cuisine and lodging to match. The cuisine, run by the third generation of the Pankert Family, is widely acclaimed.
Eric Pankert’s (1 Michelin Star) contemporary interpretation of the French cuisine is delightful. He is a wine connoisseur and boasts an extensive collection of remarkable wines. There is a beautiful proverb attributed to Johann Wolfgang von Goethe on the menu: ‘Life is too short to drink bad wine’.
The guest rooms are individually styled and furnished with a personal touch. The beautiful countryside of the Ardennes and Eifel region is ideal for hiking or bicycle tours.
